I’m Felipe Novais, a PhD Researcher in Software Security at CASA/Ruhr University Bochum, Germany.

Currently, I’m working on vulnerability research through fuzzing and automated testing, building tools to find interesting bugs in complex software systems.

Before returning to academia, I spent nearly 10 years in the tech industry, from an offensive security and managerial role at a cybersecurity company to software engineering and consulting.

When I find something interesting (or when something spectacularly fails), I write about it here.

Mainly what got sieved from my notes, for the joy and the practice of writing. Thoughts on software security, study/research notes, and things that broke in interesting ways (especially things that may be useful for future me).

All opinions are my own failures and successes.
